LOVED FOR: Share your appreciation of our military heroes and support the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park at the same time. This set of 6 note cards commemorates the 3 decommissioned U.S. Naval vessels displayed at the Naval Park. Cards picture the USS Little Rock (CG4), the USS Croaker, and the Park’s flagship USS The Sullivans in historic photos as well as docked at the museum. Blank on the inside so you can write your own message.
YOUR PURCHASE HELPS: For EACH SET of note cards purchased, we DONATE $5.00 to the “All Hands on Deck” to help save the USS The Sullivans at the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park.
GOOD TO KNOW: Set of 6 notecards with white envelopes; each measures 5.5 x 4.25 inches folded/blank inside. Packaged with care in an “eco-friendly” plastic sleeve that is made from plants and is compostable.
HISTORY: The USS Little Rock is the last surviving vessel from the Cleveland-class of light cruisers in the world. The USS The Sullivans, the first ship in the U.S. Navy to be named for more than one person, is one of only four remaining examples from the Fletcher-class of destroyers in the world. The USS Croaker is a Gato-class submarine on the National Register of Historic Places.
This historic museum is located on the shore of Lake Erie in Buffalo, NY. And for more than 40 years, the Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park has fulfilled its purpose to Preserve, Honor, Educate, and Inspire. “To preserve the military artifacts entrusted to our care; to honor veterans, military and military families; to educate about the value of service and sacrifice in defense of freedom; and to inspire a sense of patriotism and a desire to serve one’s country.” https://buffalonavalpark.org
